Mark William Goldstein

With profound sadness, we regret to announce the passing of Mark William Goldstein, beloved husband, brother, and uncle. Born in Detroit, Michigan to Irma and Ben Goldstein on November 25, 1948, Mark passed away after a brief illness on August 20, 2026.

Mark was known for his sense of humor, his public speaking, and his ability to impact people through his over 40 years of work in corporate training and communications. Throughout his career, he impacted thousands of people around the world, helping to make them better teammates, colleagues, and employees. Using his humor and storytelling talent - as well as his common sense - he changed the way people viewed human interactions.

In the last several years of his life, Mark focused on writing The Epiphany: Guiding the Mind Toward Discovering the Soul, Volumes I - III, the culmination of his personal experiences seeking higher consciousness. The first two books were published, and he was working on the final book until his final days.

Mark was exceptionally close to his late older brother Melvyn S. Goldstein. Throughout their lives, they enjoyed each other's company, had long philosophical conversations, and worked together to complete Mark's first book. They enjoyed speaking regularly, and jointly cared for their beloved mother in her final years.

Mark was committed to his cherished wife of nearly 40 years, Cynthia, who survives him. He was completely devoted to their relationship and supported her through her own battle with cancer. Mark and Cynthia were a true team, and were each other's best friend and confidants.

Mark also is survived by his nieces and nephew, Amy Goldstein, Ari Goldstein (Kris), Jodi DiVito (Marvin), and Mindy Goldstein, with whom he was particularly close. He is also survived by his great-niece Molly Amsellem (Gidon) and great-nephew Luca DiVito. Also his step daughter Christina Quesada, his Granddaughter Lola Quesada & Grandson Walter Cruz and wife Alejandra Galindo and Great Grand Children Celeste Cruz and Fabian Cruz.

Mark was beloved by his friends far and wide. He was an unforgettable person who left an indelible impression on everyone he met.

The funeral service will be held on Monday August 24th at 1p.m. at Gan Shalom Cemetery 1100 Bear Creek Rd. Martinez, Ca 94553
