Eleanor Ann Myers

Eleanor Orwitz Myers, a beautiful lady, great cook, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, at the age of 100.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Myers Goldman (Doug) and Mark Myers (Jamie), who were blessed to have Eleanor and the late Laurence E. Myers as loving parents and guiding examples of a beautiful, enduring marriage.

A native San Franciscan, Eleanor was a graduate of Lowell High School who cherished sharing lunches and shopping trips with family members in her beloved city.

Born to Sol and Fannie Orwitz, Eleanor was the sister of Allen Orwitz (Lea) and aunt to Kim Rosen (Stephen) and Michael Orwitz (Maude). She was the beloved grandmother of David Myers, Eve Myers Loecher (Joe), Matthew Goldman, Jason Goldman, and Jennifer Goldman Wallis (Erich), and the loving great-grandmother of Leo, Sammy, and Jacob Loecher, and River, Wyatt, and Summer Wallis.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Congregation Emanu-El, Jewish Community Center of San Francisco, and Stern Grove Festival.
