Sandi Rae Yanoff

Sandi R. Yanoff, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, at the age of 75.

Born on September 16, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, Sandi was the beloved daughter of Seymour and Nancy Footlik. She spent the first twelve years of her life in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, before moving with her family to California in 1962, where she built the foundation for a life filled with compassion, dedication, and love.

She devoted her professional life to the medical field, serving as a Cytotechnologist for Kaiser Permanente in Hawaii before becoming the Laboratory Manager for Kaiser Permanente in Walnut Creek, California. Throughout her career, Sandi was respected for her professionalism, intelligence, and commitment to excellence in patient care.

Outside of her career, Sandi's greatest passion was her love for dogs. She was deeply involved with numerous dog rescue organizations and found immense joy in training and caring for her beloved companions. Her dedication to animal welfare touched countless lives, both human and canine.

Sandi shared a loving marriage of over 30 years with her husband, Ron Yanoff, and treasured the life they built together.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Ron Yanoff; her beloved dog Gracie, her daughter, Shelley Warren (Chuck); her cherished grandchildren, Makaela Johnson (Ryan) and Dylan Fitzwater; her brothers, Phil Footlik (Virginia), Keith Footlik (Nancy), and Hal Footlik (Rosa); her nieces, Samantha (Kaleb), Maxene (Jeremy), and Sonja; her nephews, Jacob (Grace) and Michael; and many beloved cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Sandi will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering determination, quick wit, deep love for animals, and the compassion she showed to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the friends whose lives she enriched, and the many dogs she rescued, trained, and loved.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
