Mel has worked as a Licensed Funeral Arranger and Embalmer (EMB 8452) since 1992. Before joining the Sinai East Bay team in January of 2025, he worked at Cherokee Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your donation (Tzedakah) to Sinai Memorial ensures that the Bay Area’s Jewish community has access to end-of-life services, education, and healing rooted in Jewish tradition and values for generations to come.
Your donation supports the growth and learning of the Bay Area’s diverse Jewish community. We provide free community education, programs, and events centered around Jewish end-of-life rituals and practices, such as the annual Day of Learning.
